Abstract
A female, 62 years of age, was hospitalized with respiratory failure, mental status changes, and profound muscle weakness. She had been treated recently with methotrexate and steroids for pseudo-tumor cerebri and sero-negative arthritis. A CT scan of the head revealed multiple small enhancing lesions. The photos shown here include a hematoxylin and eosin stained section and transmission electron microscopy of the patient’s muscle biopsy.
