Dear Readers,
On behalf of the Editorial Board, it is a distinct privilege and pleasure to introduce this, the first printing of our new journal: Clinical Medicine & Research, which will replace the Marshfield Clinic Journal.
Embarking on a whole new course, we have not only re-named the publication while retaining our stated core goals of bringing to our readership a quality journal, but now will focus on both clinically relevant information along with original research articles. There are additional new sections all of which we feel will enhance this publication. CM&R is ultimately to be established as an internationally recognized and indexed medical journal that will encourage the publication of significant clinically relevant research performed by clinicians and scientists from around the world.
The format of the journal has been expanded to a full-sized page and is specifically bound to allow selective removal of articles that a reader may wish to keep. Additionally, CM&R will be available on the web site: http://www.mfldclin.edu/clinmedres.
This is a very exciting and challenging effort and we will be very interested and desirous of feedback from you, the audience we wish to serve and inform. We look forward to the new opportunities this format will provide us to continue in and improve upon the long tradition of the Marshfield Clinic Journal, now the journal of Clinical Medicine & Research.
